You can add multiple staff to a shift using the advanced edit mode, this article has more on accessing advanced edit mode, if you already know this you can skip to the section titled "Add staff".

There are two ways to charge for 2 staff to 1 client. The system has flexibility in the prices so you can have different hourly rates in the price for different ratios, you can make use of this or add the client twice to a shift by splitting the clients time and adjusting it to the full length of the shift.

Adding 2 charges to a shift to charge twice at a the 1:1 rate

This method is preferred by NDIS plan managers.

Using advanced edit mode to split the time of the client - set both time splits to the full length of the shift.

The resulting invoice will have 2 line items for the same time and duration.

In this case 1 - 3:30 pm Personal Care will display twice on the invoice for this shift at $55 per hour.

Setting up a price book with 2:1 ratio to charge double the usual hourly rate

To charge for both staff on a shift at a higher rate than the usual 1:1 rate, please set the price ratio to 2:1

In the price please ensure you have a line item for the 2:1 ratio with a $ hourly amount for that time. More on editing prices here.

The resulting invoice will have 1 line item for the shift.

In this case 1 - 3:30 pm Personal Care will display once on the invoice for this shift at $110 per hour.
