What happens when the Notify option is selected for a staff member in the Carer section

Creating or editing a shift

When creating or editing a shift you can alert the person you're assigning the shift to by selecting the Notify option above the staff selection box.

The notifications are sent both as an in-app message and also via email.

Making changes in the Scheduler view

When dragging and dropping a shift in the Scheduler screen you'll see a green bell appear. Clicking this button sends a notification to the newly assigned staff member (not the previously assigned staff member).

Shift assigned - App notification

The app notifications are listed on the phones in the usual, on screen notifications section.

Shift assigned - Email notification

The email will be sent to the staff member's email address.
