A night rate price book applies a fixed hourly rate across a 24-hour period, regardless of the time of day. This is useful for providers who want to override the standard time-based weekday pricing, and instead apply one consistent rate throughout a shift.
This is commonly used for sleepover or overnight shifts, where a single 'night rate' should apply regardless of the time.
This guide walks you through setting up a dedicated price book that always applies your chosen night rate.
How to Create a Night Rate Price Book
Navigate to Account > Prices from the sidebar menu.
Find the existing price book you want to use as a base and click “Copy” next to the selected price book.
Name the new copy something distinct like “Night Rate” to distinguish it from the original. Click 'Copy'.
In your copied price book, click 'Edit'.
Locate the night rate time block (Weekdays 12 AM to 6 AM) and update the time range to cover the full day (12 AM to 12 AM). In this example, the night rate is $78.81.
Tick the checkbox under 'Delete' for any other time slots that still exist in the weekday section. You should be left with one line item for the weekday night rate, covering the 12 AM to 12 AM time range.
Once the flat rate is set and other time blocks are removed, click “Save”.
Your night rate price book is now ready to assign to clients or shifts!
