Our latest webinar covered an exciting range of new features, enhancements, and upcoming developments in ShiftCare. Here’s a quick summary of what we showcased and discussed.

Staff Unavailability Improvements

You can now add recurring unavailability for staff, making it easier to manage regular patterns (e.g., every Monday morning). The scheduler view has also been updated for better visibility.

Bulk Staff Updates via CSV

In addition to importing new staff, you can now download a CSV of existing staff, make changes, and re-import it to update details, saving time and reducing manual edits.

Advanced Price Book Management

You can assign multiple price books to a single client, set funding limits, and link specific price books to particular funds. This helps ensure compliance and prevents over-servicing beyond agreed limits.

Split Invoicing & Notional Pricing

Invoices can now be split by payment type, and notional pricing is supported for both mileage and specific support items. This ensures compliance with NDIS pricing arrangements and simplifies claims.

HubSpot Integration

Automatically create new clients in ShiftCare when deals in HubSpot reach a set stage (e.g., “Closed Won”). Data mapping allows you to choose which HubSpot client profile fields sync to ShiftCare.

MYOB Integration

A new direct integration with MYOB will allow you to export timesheets and invoices directly (similar to our Xero integration) without manual file uploads.

Other Quality-of-Life Improvements

  • Bulk assign forms to multiple clients.

  • Improved shift instructions display in the carers app.

  • Fund expiry warnings during shift creation.

  • Ability to attach PDFs in messages.

  • Client address updates that flow through to future shifts.

  • Document Hub sorting and extra communication filters.

Coming Soon

Break Tracking

Specify paid or unpaid breaks per staff member on a shift. Staff will be able to log breaks through the app, ensuring compliance with HR and Fair Work obligations.

Availability Scheduling

In addition to unavailability, staff will be able to set their availability patterns, helping schedulers match shifts more effectively.

Sleepover Shift Enhancements

Track awake time within a single shift and send correct pay items to payroll. This will simplify current multi-shift setups for sleepovers.

Expanded ShiftCare University

More training courses are being added, covering specialist care topics and practical skills, with certifications flowing back into staff profiles.
