Before anything else, welcome to ShiftCare! If you just set up your account, then this is one of the first articles that you shouldn’t miss.
Here, we talk about the top 3 settings configurations that you should sort out before you start using the platform.
Let’s get started! The 3 things that you need to set up will be your Country, Time Zone, and Payroll Software.
Here’s how it’s done:
On the left-hand side of the page, you’ll find a menu. Go to Account.
Then click Settings.
This will open the Settings page.
Now we will set up the specific settings that we mentioned earlier:
First, let’s ensure that Settings is reflecting the correct country.
Find the Country field. It’s listed under the Company Details section.
If for some reason, the country listed is not right, reach out to chat support by clicking the speech bubble icon at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. This will initiate a conversation with our Support team.
Let our team know about your concern so we could go ahead and change this for you.
Once you have the correct country settings, it’s time to set up your time zone.
Scroll down the Settings page until you find the Scheduler section. Click Edit.
Then click the dropdown menu for the Timezone field and select the correct timezone.
When you’ve selected the correct timezone, click Save.
Payroll Software Settings
We've come to the last part! We will now set up your payroll software.
Find the Time and Attendance section. This is at the bottom left part of the Settings page. Click Edit.
Click the dropdown menu beside the Payroll Software field and choose the software that your organization is using.
If you don't see the system that you're using here, or if you're working with an accountant that you're sending the information to, we recommend selecting Quickbooks instead.
That's it! You're now ready to hop onto the next stage, setting up Pricebooks.
