Beginning your ShiftCare subscription

Overview

You’re on your free ShiftCare trial and you’re ready to start your subscription. Sounds familiar? If this is you right now, then this article is for you.

Each organization has varying needs. This is why we offer varied subscription plans that allow you to customize the number of subscribed users that you can add to your plan. You can learn more about ShiftCare pricing here.

As you start your ShiftCare subscription, we’ll walk you through everything that you have to know to customize your subscription so it can best suit your needs.

In this article, we cover:

  • Subscription lengths

  • Selecting a subscription plan

  • Subscription summary

  • Changing your subscription between billing periods

When you begin your subscription, you’ll be asked to choose between subscription lengths and tiers. Let’s find out what each is so you can make an informed decision:

Subscription lengths

Subscription plans are charged in advance before your billing cycle starts. There are two options available. You can either pay - monthly or annually.

Monthly subscription

If you select a month-to-month plan, you will be charged from the day of subscription for a full calendar month.

Annual subscription

If you’ll be taking advantage of the discounted annual subscription, you will be charged for the full year in advance.

Note: To switch between a monthly or annual subscription, simply toggle to the option that you’d like to choose.

Selecting a subscription plan

At the end of your trial or when your subscription lapses due to a failed payment, your account will be suspended. When this happens, instead of seeing subscription details, you will see subscription options on your subscription page. Don't worry, all your data will still be available once you re-subscribe.

There are three subscription options to choose from Basic, Pro, and Premium.

Follow these steps to subscribe to a paid plan:

  1. Review your organization’s needs and decide on which subscription best suits you. Once you’ve decided, click Select this plan.

  2. Once you click Select this plan, you’ll be prompted to enter the number of employees that you would like to enroll in ShiftCare.

    📝 Note: Each plan has a minimum of 5 users by default, and subscription is paid based on the subscription type, per user. Additional licenses can be added one at a time as needed.

  3. You will then be prompted to enter your payment details if you are signing up for the first time.

    📝 Note: Direct debit payments are not available

  4. Under the Options section, you can choose to add ShiftCare Connect.

  5. In the Coupon Code section, you can put in your coupon code if applicable.

  6. Read and accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service at the bottom of the page.

  7. Click Subscribe.

Subscription summary

Once your payment is processed, you can now view and manage your Subscription on your subscription page.

To access and review your subscription plan, follow the subscription page link, or go to the left-hand navigation menu and click Account > Subscription.

The subscription page confirms the following details:

  • Description - your selected subscription plan

  • Billing Period - your selected subscription length

  • Current Period - when your current subscription starts and will renew

Other details shown are:

  • Number of users

  • Number of ShiftCare Connect users

  • Number of SMS

  • Estimated tax

  • Running total

Changing your subscription between billing periods

Subscriptions are paid per licensed seat. Thus, increasing the number of licenses or upgrading your plan will be charged immediately on a pro-rata basis.

On the other hand, decreasing seats or downgrading to another subscription plan will create a credit that will be applied to the next billing cycle.
