Shift types allow you to organize shifts according to categories that make sense to you and your team.
Some organizations use shift types to segregate shifts based on the type of care provided, while others use it to distinguish shifts provided in one facility from the others.
Adding a new shift type
Here’s how you can add and customize shift types for your organization:
On the ShiftCare website’s lefthand menu, go to Account.
Click Settings.
Scroll down to the Shift Types section.
Click Edit.
A new dialogue box will open where the existing shift types’ name, external id, color, and the time it was last updated is displayed.
Click Add new shift type.
This will add a new row at the bottom of the list. Type a name for your new shift type.
Under External id, input a code. The External ID can be used to create pay rules in KeyPay if required.
Click the color box to assign a particular color for the shift type. This is particularly useful to better recognize shift types on your Scheduler.
Once you’re done, click Save.
