Rate Group has a powerful ability to link Shifts, Programs, Clients and Client Contacts.
Rate Groups provide you the oversight and flexibility in tracking your different rates where your company provides services to clients who utilise multiple health care providers.
How to apply a Rate Group to a Shift
Programs are a series of recurring Shifts therefore the same process applies for a Program as it does a Shift.
It is possible to apply a Rate Group to an individual client within a shift. This will overwrite the Shift's rate for the individual allowing you to apply precise rates to everyone attending a shift.
To do this, when editing a shift's details click on the Select Clients button which will bring up the interface below to see the list of clients.
How to apply a Rate Group to a client's additional contact
Additional contacts for a client might be their next of kin, however, the additional contact can also be the accounts billable department for a care provider you provide services through.
When a care provider is the additional contact for a client it means you are able to invoice that provider directly.
Additionally applying a Rate Group to the additional contact means the invoiced amount can be reported on allowing you to keep track of which provider funds are being invoiced to. This will give you a greater level of detail in your financial tracking.
To apply a Rate Group to an additional contact, first identify the client in question and edit their details.
Next add the additional contact information which includes the Rate Group.
