Staff segmentation in ShiftCare refers to the process of identifying distinct groups of staff based on their unique needs and characteristics. Segmentation can be done in many ways depending on an organization's business and human resources strategies. Few examples are as below:-
- Grouping client's trained workers
- Grouping staff based on their KPIs
- Grouping staff based on their teams eg HR Team, Management Team etc
In order to create segments, go to Staff section from left hand side navigation and then drop-down section select Segments.
Now click on New in order to make segments.
Name the Segment. In example below, its named "Andrew Worker". All organisation's workers are on right hand side. Drag and Drop all trained worker from right to left side and hit Save.
After saving, below confirmation dialogue will open. Press Ok to confirm.
Toy can view list of all segments by clicking on List button located under segments on left hand side. These can be deleted or edited by clicking on the buttons in front of the list. See below.
If you wish to add/remove staff or change the segment's name navigate to Segments under Staff. Under Segment select List. This will bring up all the segments that have been created.
On the far right hand side are the options Edit & Delete.
To Edit a segment, click the edit button. This will bring you back to the segment information page. Here you can change the name of the segment, add staff by dragging and dropping their name from the available staff list to the selected staff list.
To remove staff drag and drop their name from the selected staff list back to the available staff list.
Note: Remember to click Update at the bottom right of the page to save any changes made to the segments.
To delete a segment simply click the red delete button next to the segment of choice.
A prompt will appear with the options to Cancel or Yes. If you still wish to delete the segment click yes, if not then select Cancel.
Note: If a segment attached to client is deleted then that segment will also be removed from the client's profile.

Bulk email/SMS to segmented staff:
Go to staff list and click on Bulf email or bulk sms.
On top of the list you will see list of segments. Select preffered segment, type a message and click send.
Pin to Job Board
You can pin job on job board only to you segmented staff aswell. In Job board section, click on your preferred segment and hit publish. This way, avaiable job/shift will only be visible to staff you are in that segment.
