We’ve released Advanced Break Tracking, which allows you to set paid or unpaid and scheduled or flexible breaks. This provides more accurate payroll records, stronger compliance, and better visibility in timesheets.
It is possible to add a break time for your staff member when creating a shift. This can be done by selecting the shift, clicking 'Edit', and going into the 'Advanced edit' settings.
Scroll down to the Time & Location section, where you can adjust the break time in minutes by clicking the up and down buttons.
In this example, the shift is a 5-hour shift from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 20-minute break.
Don't forget to click the 'Save' button in the upper-right corner of the screen after making the necessary changes.
Scheduler View
Once saved, the break time minutes will be displayed next to the shift times in the Scheduler when you click the shift.
App View
The break time will also be shown on the app for the staff member.
Staff Timesheet Impact
The break time duration will be recorded in the staff member's timesheet.
Client Billing Impact
The client's billing report/shifts breakdown shows 5 hours for the shift.
