Error: Failed to load PDF document

Trying to access staff or client documents and getting an error

The error message "failed to load pdf document" means the web browser is having difficulty opening the file.

The problem might be your content settings. By default, Chrome is set to open PDF files internally, but you might be able to circumvent this issue simply by choosing to open PDF files in a dedicated PDF viewer (such as Adobe Reader).

Change PDF settings in Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and click the Menu button in the top right corner.

  2. Choose Settings from the menu.

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced.

  4. In the Privacy section click Content settings.

  5. Now select PDF documents from the list.

  6. Now enable Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome option.

An alternative to this is to download the file to your computer and have a software which isn't the browser open the file. To do this, right click on the cloud/download icon and select Save link as...
