Why can't I set an expiry date or category on an uploaded document?

Allowed document file types: .pdf .docx .doc .jpg .png Expiry, Category and visibility can be set for PDF and Word files only

Allowed file types for client and carer documents

  • PDF .pdf

  • WORD .doc .docx

  • JPEG .jpg

  • PNG .png

  • SPREADSHEET .csv .xls .xlsx

File types for which properties can be set

  • PDF .pdf

  • WORD .doc .docx

  • SPREADSHEET .csv .xls .xlsx

File types for which properties cannot be set

Image files cannot be controlled at this time, however, this will change in the near future.

  • JPEG .jpg .jpeg

  • PNG .png

  • GIF .gif

For these file types the system will display the following warning:

Categories and expiration can only be set if document types - Word, PDF or Pages

This means an expiry date, the category type and the visibility of the file to staff cannot be controlled.
