ShiftCare allows staff and admin users to clock in and out of their assigned shifts directly from the web portal. This provides an alternative to mobile app clock-ins and makes it easier for users working from desktop devices.

Note: Web clock-ins do not validate break times, medications, Need to Know information, tasks, or forms. The system only validates clock-in and clock-out times against the scheduled shift time window.
Shifts clocked in/out on the web are not included in EVV reporting.
Clocking In and Out
Staff members can only clock in/out of shifts they have been assigned to, and clock-in/out times must be within the shift time limits.
Clock in up to 3 hours before the scheduled start time.
Clock out up to 6 hours after the scheduled end time.
Log in to the ShiftCare web portal: app.shiftcare.com.
Go to the Scheduler tab to open a calendar view of all your rostered shifts.
Adjust the date controls in the upper-right corner to switch between monthly, weekly, or daily views, jump to a specific date, or move through days, weeks, or months.
Open the shift assigned to you and click 'Clock In' or 'Clock Out'.
Note: You cannot switch between mobile and web clock-in methods during a shift. For example, if you clock in using the mobile app, you must also clock out using the mobile app.
Adding Notes
Staff members can also add notes to the shift.
Open a shift and click 'More actions', then 'Add Notes'.
Select a note type and fill out the text box. You can also attach a document if needed.
Click 'Add Note'.
If mandatory progress notes are enabled for your organisation, you will not be able to clock out without submitting a progress note. You may also be required to meet a minimum word count to ensure detailed reporting. A live word counter that updates in real time will be displayed in the text box.
Admin Users
Admin users can also clock in/out of shifts assigned to them. The Clock In/Out buttons will not appear when editing a shift (edit mode).
Viewing and Updating Tasks
Navigate to the Tasks tab from the sidebar menu and click on a task to view it and add updates.
