The Shift Templates feature allows you to streamline your rostering process by saving frequently used shift configurations.
Instead of manually entering the same details repeatedly (such as clients, carers, start and end times, shift types, allowances, tasks, or instructions), you can create a template and apply it to new shifts in seconds.
This guide includes:
Creating a New Shift Template
You can build a reusable shift configuration and manage your templates directly from the Scheduler.
Navigate to the Scheduler and click the three dots menu (⋮) in the top right corner. Select 'Shift Templates' from the dropdown menu.
This will redirect you to the template management list. Click 'New Template'.
Enter a descriptive Template Name and an optional Description, then pre-fill the specific details you want the template to store. Click 'Advanced Edit' for more detailed information.
Click 'Save'.
Managing Templates
You can easily edit, remove, and find templates as your rostering needs change.
Editing Templates
Click on the template you want to modify.
In the details drawer, click 'Edit'.
Update the fields as necessary (you can use 'Advanced Edit' for more options).
Click 'Save' after making the necessary changes.
Deleting Templates
Click on the template you want to delete.
In the details drawer, click 'More Actions' and select 'Delete'.
Confirm the deletion in the pop-up prompt.
Filtering
You can use the fields at the top to filter templates by Name, Shift Type, or Facility.
Applying a Template to a Shift
Once your templates are set up, using them is simple.
Open the Scheduler and create a new shift.
At the top of the shift drawer, select a template from the dropdown menu.
The system will automatically populate the fields with the values stored in the template. You can still manually adjust any field without affecting the original template.
You can also create a new template from here.
Click 'Save'.
