All staff events, including notes, communications, incidents, and messages, can be found in their Communications page.
View the Staff Member's Communications Page
To access the page, go to the sidebar menu and navigate to Staff > List > click on the staff member's name. Select 'Communications' from the staff drop-down menu.
The staff member's Communications page enables you to view all notes and communications associated with that staff member.
This page also includes a history of messages sent to or from the staff member via the ShiftCare platform. Some of the entries are automatically generated, while some can be manually updated.

Filter Note Categories
Filter Categories: When viewing staff communications, you can use the filter category feature to view a specific group of communications (enquiry, incident, feedback, etc).
Simply tick the boxes of the categories you want to view. Don't forget to click 'Apply' to activate the filter.
Date Filter: The date filter will help you locate notes within the selected date range.
Note: You can also send SMS messages and email staff members from this page.
Add Communications
Only admin/coordinators can add communications via the staff profile page, as well as send SMS and emails to staff members.
To add a note, scroll down to the 'Add Info' section. Select the type of communication you want to add from the drop-down menu (feedback, incident, injury, note, warning) and fill out the content box.
You can tick the 'Private Note' box to make the note visible only to admin and approved staff, and you can also attach files by clicking the 'Choose files' button at the bottom.
Make sure to click 'Add' at the bottom of the page after filling out the note. Otherwise, the information will not be recorded.
Staff Notifications
When adding new content to a staff member’s communications history, only entries marked as 'Notes' will notify the staff member.
The full message of the note will be shown to the staff member via the app alert and in their app's Notification menu.
Print Staff Notes and Communications History
Once you have applied the filters to select the date range and category types you want to see, you can use your browser's print to pdf feature to print out the page or save it as a PDF file.
Export Staff Notes and Communications History
You can also export the Communications history page by clicking the 'Export' button after applying the necessary dates and filters.
A pop-up message will appear, stating that the export file will be emailed to you shortly.
Open the email and click the 'View Now' button.
This will lead you to your account's Download Center, where you can proceed to download the export file.
Alternatively, you can navigate directly to the Download Center by going to Reports > Download Center in the sidebar menu.
