The Incompatible Staff feature lets you prevent specific staff from being assigned to a particular client’s shifts. Once a staff member is listed as incompatible for a client, they will be excluded from shift assignments and job board notifications for that client.
Assigning Incompatible Staff Members
Navigate to Clients > List from the sidebar menu and click on the name of the client you want to assign incompatible staff for.
In the client’s profile, go to the Teams section and click 'Edit'.
In the Incompatible Staff box, select the staff member(s) from the dropdown menu and click 'Update'.
A pop-up message will appear with some reminders. Review the message, then click 'Save Incompatibility'.
The incompatible staff member(s) will now appear in the Teams section under Incompatible Staff. Clicking on the name of the staff member will bring you to their profile page.
Reminders:
Listing a staff member as incompatible will prevent them from being scheduled with the client in the future, but it will not remove them from existing scheduled shifts. Please make sure to review the client’s schedule and manually remove any incompatible carers from upcoming shifts.
Past shifts are not affected and remain unchanged for reporting or record-keeping purposes.
To remove a staff member from the list, click the X beside their name and click 'Update'.
Scheduler Behaviour
Creating New Shifts: Incompatible staff members cannot be selected for the client. Their names will appear greyed out.
Editing Existing Shifts: A warning will appear when trying to assign the staff member to the client in an existing shift. You can still select the incompatible carer, but it is recommended to replace them.
Existing Shifts With Incompatible Staff Already Assigned: Warnings will appear in the shift details page. It is recommended to replace the incompatible carer.
Job Board and Notifications
Incompatible staff will not see job board listings for the client’s shifts.
They will not receive push notifications for the client's shifts on the mobile app.
